8 Ornament Cookies with Tip 16
Deck the halls with lots of ornament shaped cookies! Each of these decorating designs is created using a single star tip (#16).
The vibrant color is equally easy to achieve using the Color Right Performance Color System and the QuickCount Formulas.
How to Decorate 8 Ornament Cookies with Tip 16
INGREDIENTS
– Buttercream Icing
– Color Right Performance Color System (see Colors Tinted below)
– Mini Marshmallows
– Pure Lemon Extract
– Silver Pearl Dust
TOOLS
– 12 in. Disposable Decorating Bags
– Tip: 16 (5 used)
– 9 in. Angled Spatula
– Scissors
– 5 pc. Decorator Brush Set
Icing Colors Tinted
Tint ultra-concentrated icing. Use Color Right base colors and QuickCount color formulas to tint icing in the following shades:
• Halloween Teal: ¼ cup white icing + 23 B + 7 Y + 6 BR
• Winter Green Blue: ¼ cup white icing + 13 R + 2 B
• Halloween Purple: ¼ cup white icing + 35 P + 7 B + 6 C + 2 BK
• Bright & Bold Teal: ¼ cup white icing + 8 B + 1 Y
Mix ultra-concentrated icing with white icing.
• For Halloween Teal, mix 2 teaspoons ultra-concentrated icing with ½ cup white icing
• For Winter Green Blue, mix 2 teaspoons ultra-concentrated icing with ½ cup white icing
• For Halloween Purple, mix 2 teaspoons ultra-concentrated icing with ½ cup white icing
• For Bright & Bold Teal, mix 2 teaspoons ultra-concentrated icing with ½ cup white icing
• Reserve ½ cup icing white
Decorate cookies:
• Pipe rosettes in alternating colors to cover top of cookie.
• Pipe purple icing onto cookie; smooth with spatula. Pipe loops in bright & bold teal.
• Pipe Halloween teal zigzag tree in center of cookie. Fill in cookie top with stars, half in purple, half in and winter green blue.
• Pipe wide purple zigzag down center of cookie; pipe narrower white zigzag on either side of the purple. Pipe wide Halloween teal zigzags on remaining cookie top.
• Pipe Halloween teal icing onto cookie; smooth with spatula. Pipe bright & bold teal fleur de lis evenly spaced around cookie.
• Pipe purple icing onto cookie; smooth with spatula. Pipe Halloween green pullout star tree branches spaced around the cookie top.
• Pipe winter green blue icing onto cookie top; smooth with spatula. Pipe purple shells on cookie top.
• Pipe bright & bold teal onto cookie; smooth with spatula. Pipe purple reverse scrolls in one direction in a line across the cookie. Repeat for a second line
Let dry 8-12 hours.
Step 4: With damp scissors, cut mini marshmallows in half; attach to cookie, cut side touching cookie, using dot of icing if needed.
