How to Base Ice a Cake
Start with a 21” disposable bag and a wide icer tip #790 to pipe your icing in two large bands.
Use a plastic icing scraper to smooth the sides and top of the cake. Hold the scraper at a 45 degree angle and continue around the cake until it looks just right.
